Welcome to Derry Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website derryvehiclehire.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Derry Rentals

All vehicle rentals with Derry are subject to a Rental Agreement provided with your booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. This document sets out the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, charges, and your obligations for the individual rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will govern that booking.

2. Derry Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Derry, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (age limits may vary by vehicle type, and a surcharge may apply to drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification, proof of address and any other documents required by Derry at the time of rental.

3. Booking and Payment (Derry)

  • Bookings can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Derry office. A booking deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are normally payable when you collect the vehicle. All prices are shown in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Pickup and Return

  • Inspect the vehicle carefully at collection and report any existing damage to Derry immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Derry representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as at collection, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage found on return will be evaluated and repair costs charged to the hirer.

5. Insurance and Liability — Derry

  • Derry includes basic third-party insurance with every rental. Complete coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your financial responsibility. We recommend reviewing these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

Derry's cancellation and modification policies differ by booking type and required notice. Please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for the specific terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Derry Prohibitions

You must not use a Derry rental vehicle for:

  • Any unlawful purpose or activity. Competitive driving such as racing, rallying, off-road use, or other high-risk activities. Carrying hazardous or dangerous substances. Subletting the vehicle to third parties or permitting drivers not authorized by Derry. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Uses for which the vehicle is not intended...

Violating these restrictions may result in immediate Derry rental termination and additional charges.

8. Limitation of Derry’s Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Derry will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant services.

9. Governing Law (Derry)

These Terms, as they apply to Derry, are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes concerning these Terms will be resolved exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Derry

Derry may revise these Terms at any time. Revisions become effective immediately upon posting on the Derry website. Your continued use of Derry services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
